Welcome fellow climbers to our product overview blog series. This series is designed to help you understand each ingredient found in our Climber Pre-Workout +, why it was chosen, and how it benefits you as a climber. This will help you understand the importance of using a product designed for you and how much research goes into creating our Climber Pre-Workout +. Lets begin!
Beta Alanaine is an amino acid produced by the body and found primarily in protein rich foods as carnosine, anserine, or balenine. Beta Alanine basically works by increasing the production of carnosine. Carnosine is naturally found in type 1 and type 2 muscle fibers, but is of higher concentration in type 2 fibers (type 2 muscle fibers are primarily used during high intensity strength workouts). Carnosine works by soaking up hydrogen ions that are released during exercise, which helps stabilize our muscles PH levels and allows us to perform at a higher intensity for longer periods of time.
- Improved athletic performance
- Reduced lactic acid buildup resulting in delayed fatigue
- Boosts muscular anaerobic endurance
- Increase exercise capacity
Why Beta Alanine and how can it benefit a climber?
Of course improved athletic performance is important to a climber but what exactly about this ingredient translates to climbing? The lower of PH levels in the muscles. This lowering of PH levels can help a climber to climb longer and push further in their training and climbing. This reduces lactic acid buildup and can lengthen time on wall, thus increasing exercise capacity. As climbers we are always battling the dreaded "pump", in simple terms, is the lactic acid buildup in our muscles. Consuming a product like ours that contains Beta Alanine can help reduce the negative effect of lactic acid buildup.
